Class Descriptions:

CARDIO/FUSION

Hi-Lo class for the multi-impact enthusiast. Progressive stages of movement utilizing the entire body.  BONUS-- Work the core, upper & lower body, for strength and sculpting, with the use of free weights, bodybars, stability balls, & exertubes. (75 min. –am)

 

CIRCUIT/ BOOT CAMP

Add a shot of adrenaline to your workout routines with boot/camp style cardio drills & power moves, interspersed with weight training, & core & strength exercises. (50-60 min. pm)

 

INSTRUCTOR’S CHOICE

A perfect way to round out the week. Join our instructor on Saturday morning for a different workout every week. (Cardio/Fusion, Step/Interval, Circuit/Boot Camp ,Kickbox) S Included in this class are sculpting exercises to work the abs, butt, thighs, and upper body  (60 min. Sat. am)

 

KICKBOX EXPRESS

Kick, punch & jab your way to fitness! Basic boxing sequences are easy to follow, give a fantastic workout, & deliver great results! Challenge Yourself!  (45 min. pm)

 

STEP/INTERVAL 

User-friendly step combinations that burn fat, improve aerobic capacity, balance, & co-ordination, combined with intervals of toning & strength conditioning. Abs included! Great Fun!  (60-75 min am & pm)

 

SPECIALITY CLASSES:  (additional fee)

 

RPM SPINNING

“Rapid  Pedal Movement” says it all! This action-packed indoor cycling class utilizes established training techniques to improve power, strength and endurance. Stretching & flexibility moves round out this class. (50 min. am & pm)

 

FENCING           

Learn a new sport! Take part in this different form of exercise from Renaissance times. Basic through advanced fencing techniques taught by experienced instructors for every level of skill.  Ages12 – adult.  (90 minutes-- Mon pm & Sat am)

 

PILATES/MATWORK        

Continuous movement class following the principles of Joseph Pilates. Students are taught proper breathing technique with a specific set of floor exercises that strengthen the core muscles, increase flexibility, concentration & stamina. (60 min. pm)

 

HATHA YOGA

Experience the calming flow and internal mind/body focus of Hatha Yoga. Emphasis is on breathing techniques, and proper form. Go at your own pace. Variations & modifications of poses make this class adaptable for all skill levels.  (90 min. pm)

 

SENIOR-CIZE

This 60 min., bi-weekly class, is offered  for the mature adult, (50+) or anyone needing an entry level program. Emphasis is placed on improving well-being, flexibility, circulation, & joint range of motion. This class will help to reduce the factors leading to heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis.

 

SilverSneakers Programs

(These classes and use of the fitness center is available free of charge to medicare-eligible members, ( 65 yrs. or older), who have medical insurance that is eligible for the program.  Ask about eligibility.

 

SilverSneakers Muscular Strength & Range of Movement

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.    (60 min. M-W-F am)

 

SilverSneakers Yogastretch

Yogastretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. (45 min.)
